Migraine Symptoms
In today’s society the problem of migraines is on the rise due to the lifestyle of everyday people which is full of stress and tension and is believed to be the cause of this disease. Even children are affected by this disease as they also have to face stressful situations in life today due to the high level of competition in the modern world.
Researchers are of the opinion that this pain is caused by the unusual chemical changes that takes place in the body and affects the supply of blood to the brain. It has been observed that women suffer more than men from migraine.
How to Spot Migraine Symptoms
Though there are no fixed symptoms for migraine but some people get the pre- indication through the auras which are also known as the vision disturbance as the person can see zigzag lines or may experience a temporary spot of blindness or may have blurred vision and sometimes suffer from eye pain. These indications are not experienced by all the people who suffer from a migraine though. The symptoms can develop a few minutes before the attack or it may show up nearly 24 hours before the actual attack of migraine.
This one-sided headache can either be very severe or dull which can be felt on the temples, the neck, behind the head and at the back of the eyes. It is not every time that the headache may occur on the same side but it can be recognized by the type of headache that is the sufferer feels, like a kind of pulsating or pounding sensation in the head which may be also combined with throbbing. Sometimes there may be a dull pain which may last for a few hours or the pain starts on a dull note and goes on increasing which may last for the whole day or more.
Other Migraine Symptoms
There are other symptoms which can be noticed in migraine sufferers like numbness, increase in urination, weakness, sweating, loss of concentration, loss of appetite, nauseating feeling, some may even start vomiting, shivering due to chill feeling, fatigue and many other kinds of symptoms related to the pain. There are symptoms which linger even after being relieved from the pain and these symptoms are dullness of the mind which blurs the thinking process, sleepiness and sometimes neck pain.
